One day, one of a pair of identical twins celebrated their birthday. Two days later, the other twin celebrated their birthday. The twins were born within 5 minutes of each other – so how can this be explained?

One was born February 28 at around 11:58 pm. The other was born March 1. And it so happened it was a leap year this birthday so it was separated by February 29.
